Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the courts, facilities, services, bookings, memberships, coaching sessions, events and website provided by Padel Zest.

In these terms, “Padel Zest”, “we”, “us” or “our” means Padel Slam Ltd, trading as Padel Zest. “You” or “your” means any person who registers, books, pays for, attends or uses our facilities or services.

Padel Zest uses Playtomic as its official booking and payment platform. By booking a court, joining a match, purchasing a session or using Playtomic in connection with Padel Zest, you may also be subject to Playtomic’s own terms, conditions, fees, payment rules and privacy policy. Playtomic’s legal conditions state that it may charge a service fee when a reservation, public match or tournament entry is confirmed, and that certain service fees may not be refunded when a player cancels.

By making a booking, purchasing a membership, attending the club, using our courts or participating in any Padel Zest activity, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Padel Zest

Padel Zest is a padel club based in Wimbledon, providing padel courts, coaching, social sessions, events, tournaments, memberships and related club services.

Operator: Padel Slam LTD
Trading name: Padel Zest
Company number: 16401033
Registered office: 365 Grafton Road, NW5 4BL
Club address: Unit 12, Merton Industrial Park, Lee Road, London, SW19 3HX
Contact email: hello@padelzest.co.uk

2. Playtomic Bookings

Court bookings, open matches, coaching sessions, social sessions, leagues, tournaments and other activities may be booked through Playtomic, our website, reception team or another method approved by Padel Zest.

A booking is only confirmed once it has been accepted by Padel Zest or Playtomic and, where applicable, payment has been received or authorised.

You are responsible for checking the date, time, court, location, booking type, cancellation policy and payment details before confirming your booking.

Where a booking is made through Playtomic, you must comply with Playtomic’s user terms, payment terms, cancellation rules and app procedures, as well as these Padel Zest Terms and Conditions.

The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all players attending are aware of and comply with these Terms and Conditions.

3. Payments

Payments for court bookings, matches, coaching, events, memberships or other services may be taken through Playtomic, directly by Padel Zest, or through another approved payment method.

All prices and charges will be shown at the time of booking or purchase.

Unless stated otherwise, prices shown are inclusive of VAT where VAT is applicable.

Playtomic may apply its own service fees or cancellation fees. These are separate from Padel Zest’s court, coaching, membership or event fees. Playtomic’s own guidance says cancellation fees may apply in specific cases, including player-made bookings through the app or website, and that the fee is deducted from the refund rather than charged separately.

We reserve the right to amend prices from time to time, but price changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed unless there has been an obvious pricing error.

4. Cancellations, Amendments and Refunds

The cancellation policy for each booking will be shown in Playtomic or confirmed by Padel Zest at the time of booking.

For court bookings and other Playtomic reservations, you should cancel directly through Playtomic where the app allows you to do so. Playtomic’s help guidance says players should open the booking, review the club’s cancellation policy displayed there, and use the cancel booking button where cancellation is available.

Once a booking falls outside the applicable cancellation policy, cancellation, refund or rescheduling may not be possible. Playtomic’s player guidance states that the cancellation deadline is set by the club, and that Playtomic cannot override the club’s rules once the booking is outside the allowed cancellation period.

If you cancel within the permitted cancellation period, any refund or credit will be processed according to the payment method, Playtomic settings and applicable booking rules. Playtomic currently says card refunds can take 2–15 business days to reach your bank, while refunds to Club Wallet are instant.

If you cancel late, fail to attend, arrive too late to use your booking, or do not have enough players to use the court, you may not be entitled to a refund or credit.

Padel Zest may, at its discretion, offer a refund, credit or rescheduling option in exceptional circumstances, but we are not required to do so unless stated in the applicable cancellation policy or required by law.

5. Open Matches and Public Matches

Where Padel Zest offers open matches, public matches or similar Playtomic match formats, additional Playtomic rules may apply.

Playtomic’s current open match guidance says that if a match is not full, a player can cancel their spot before the match starts, but if the match is full, cancellation is only available up to 24 hours before the start time, and cancellations within 24 hours of a full match are not possible through the app.

If an open match is cancelled because there are not enough players, because the court becomes unavailable, or because Padel Zest cancels the match, refunds or credits will be handled through Playtomic according to the applicable Playtomic process.

In the case of bad weather, operational issues or other exceptional circumstances, players should contact Padel Zest directly.

6. Coaching, Events, Leagues and Tournaments

Coaching sessions, social sessions, leagues, tournaments, corporate bookings and events may have their own booking, payment and cancellation rules.

These rules may be shown on Playtomic, on our website, in the event description, or confirmed separately by Padel Zest.

If there is a specific cancellation period for a coaching session, tournament, event or corporate booking, that specific cancellation period will apply instead of the standard court booking cancellation policy.

We may amend event formats, timings, coaches, opponents, groupings or schedules where reasonably necessary.

7. Use of the Club and Facilities

All members, guests and visitors must use the club, courts and facilities safely, responsibly and respectfully.

You must follow:

  • these Terms and Conditions;
  • any rules shown in Playtomic for your booking;
  • any club rules displayed at the premises or on our website;
  • any instructions given by Padel Zest staff, coaches or authorised representatives;
  • all health and safety guidance provided by the club.

We reserve the right to refuse entry, remove any person from the premises, cancel a booking, suspend access or close a Playtomic account connection where we reasonably believe there has been unsafe, abusive, inappropriate or disruptive behaviour.

You are responsible for any damage caused by you or your guests through negligence, misuse, deliberate damage or failure to follow club rules.

8. Arrival and Court Use

Players should arrive in good time before their booking.

Late arrival will not extend the booking time. Courts must be vacated promptly at the end of the booked session so that the next booking can start on time.

Only the players included in the booking may use the court unless otherwise agreed by Padel Zest.

Players must not enter a court before their booking time or continue playing after their booking has ended.

9. Memberships

Memberships are personal to the registered member and must not be shared, transferred, sold or used by another person.

Memberships may be managed through Playtomic or directly by Padel Zest.

Membership benefits may include discounted court fees, priority booking, access to member-only sessions, events or other benefits as set out at the time of joining.

The member whose account is used to make a booking must attend and participate in the session unless otherwise agreed by Padel Zest.

Membership benefits must not be used to make bookings primarily for non-members or for commercial purposes.

Any misuse of membership benefits may result in suspension or cancellation of membership without refund.

Membership fees, billing periods, renewal terms, cancellation rights and any minimum commitment period will be confirmed at the time of joining.

If a membership payment fails, we may suspend membership benefits until the outstanding payment is made.

10. Guests and Visitors

Members and players may bring guests subject to availability, guest fees and club rules.

All guests must check in before playing and comply with these Terms and Conditions.

The person making the booking is responsible for the conduct of their guests while at the club.

We may require all players, guests and visitors to register with us or with Playtomic before using the facilities.

11. Approved Coaching Only

All coaching, lessons and organised training sessions at Padel Zest must be delivered by Padel Zest-approved coaches.

Private coaching, paid instruction, group training or commercial activity by non-approved coaches is not permitted unless agreed in writing by Padel Zest.

Coaching bookings are subject to availability and to the cancellation rules shown at the time of booking.

Players must follow the reasonable instructions of coaches during coaching sessions.

12. Juniors and Children

Children and young people are welcome at Padel Zest, subject to our safeguarding rules and supervision requirements.

Anyone under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to participate in club activities.

Children under [16] must be supervised by a parent or guardian unless they are taking part in an organised coaching session, camp or activity supervised by Padel Zest staff or coaches.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children before and after any supervised session.

We may require emergency contact details and relevant medical information for junior activities.

13. Health, Safety and Assumption of Sporting Risk

Padel is a physical sport and involves a risk of injury.

Risks may include, but are not limited to:

  • slips, trips and falls;
  • collisions with other players;
  • impact with rackets, balls, glass, fencing or court surfaces;
  • muscle strains or other physical injuries;
  • injury caused by sudden movement, twisting, stopping or changing direction;
  • accidental contact with other players or equipment.

By using our facilities, you acknowledge that padel involves normal sporting risks. You are responsible for deciding whether you are fit and able to participate.

You must stop playing immediately if you feel unwell, injured or unsafe.

You must not use the facilities while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or anything else that may affect your ability to play safely.

You should inform staff or coaches of any relevant medical condition, injury or concern that may affect your safe participation.

14. Footwear, Clothing and Equipment

Players must wear appropriate sports clothing and suitable court footwear.

Footwear must provide adequate grip, support and stability and must not damage the court surface.

We reserve the right to refuse court access where footwear, clothing or equipment is considered unsafe or unsuitable.

Players are responsible for ensuring that their own rackets, eyewear, footwear and other equipment are suitable for padel.

Protective sports eyewear is recommended, particularly given the speed of play, enclosed court environment and risk of ball or racket impact.

Any hired or borrowed equipment must be returned in good condition. You may be charged for loss, damage or failure to return equipment.

15. Club Rules and Conduct

All members, guests and visitors must treat others with respect.

We do not tolerate:

  • abusive, threatening or aggressive behaviour;
  • harassment, bullying or discrimination;
  • unsafe play or deliberate misconduct;
  • damage to club property;
  • inappropriate language or behaviour;
  • misuse of club facilities;
  • behaviour that damages the reputation of Padel Zest or the sport of padel.

We may suspend or terminate access to the club where behaviour is unacceptable or where these Terms and Conditions are breached.

16. Food, Drink, Smoking and Prohibited Items

Only water or suitable sports drinks may be taken onto court unless otherwise agreed.

Food should not be taken onto the courts.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the club or on court.

Alcohol must not be brought onto the premises unless agreed by Padel Zest.

Illegal substances, weapons or dangerous items are strictly prohibited.

Dogs and other animals are not permitted, except assistance dogs.

17. Personal Belongings and Lost Property

You are responsible for your own personal belongings while at the club.

Padel Zest is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal items, except where caused by our negligence.

Lost property may be held for a limited period and then disposed of or donated if not collected.

Valuables should not be left unattended.

18. Photography, Filming and CCTV

You must not photograph or film other players, staff, coaches, children or visitors without their consent.

Photography or filming for commercial purposes, social media content, advertising, coaching analysis or live streaming is not permitted without prior approval from Padel Zest.

We may take photos or videos at club events for promotional purposes. Where required, we will seek appropriate consent.

CCTV may be in operation for safety, security, crime prevention and operational purposes. CCTV and personal data should be covered by your Privacy Policy and CCTV notices. The ICO provides guidance for organisations using CCTV and video surveillance under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

19. Playtomic Accounts, Data and Communications

To book through Playtomic, you may need to create and use a Playtomic account.

Playtomic will process your personal data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. Playtomic’s Privacy Policy says personal data is shared with club managers related to your booking, which means Padel Zest may receive booking, player and contact information needed to administer your booking or activity.

Padel Zest will process personal information in accordance with our own Privacy Policy.

Personal information may be used for purposes including account registration, bookings, payments, membership administration, communications, safeguarding, security, customer service and legal compliance.

You should read both:

  • Padel Zest’s Privacy Policy; and
  • Playtomic’s Privacy Policy,

before registering, booking or using our services.

20. Website and Online Systems

You must not misuse our website, Playtomic, booking platform or digital systems.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with security, upload harmful material or use our systems for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

Where bookings are made through Playtomic or another third-party platform, that platform may also apply its own terms and privacy policy.

We are not responsible for failures, outages, fees, app functionality or technical issues caused by Playtomic or another third-party provider, although we will try to assist where a booking issue relates to Padel Zest services.

All website content, branding, logos, images and written materials belong to Padel Zest or our licensors and must not be copied or used without permission.

21. Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. UK consumer guidance is clear that traders cannot use terms or notices to avoid responsibility for death or injury caused by negligence.

Subject to the above, Padel Zest is not responsible for:

  • injuries arising from the normal risks of participating in padel;
  • injuries caused by failure to follow instructions, club rules or safety guidance;
  • injuries caused by unsuitable footwear, clothing or equipment;
  • loss, theft or damage to personal belongings;
  • loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control;
  • indirect or consequential losses.

You remain responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any guests or children you bring to the club.

22. Insurance

Padel Zest will maintain appropriate insurance for its operations.

Players are encouraged to consider their own personal accident, health or sports insurance where appropriate.

23. Closure, Maintenance and Events

We may close courts or facilities from time to time for maintenance, cleaning, safety, repairs, private events, club events or operational reasons.

Where a confirmed booking is affected, we will offer a reasonable alternative, account credit or refund.

We are not liable for closures or disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control, including power failure, water leaks, fire alarm activation, adverse weather, emergency works, government restrictions, landlord works or other events beyond our control.

Where a refund is due for a Playtomic booking, it will normally be processed through Playtomic.

24. Consumer Cancellation Rights

Many Padel Zest bookings are for leisure services on a specific date or within a specific period, such as a court booking, coaching session, event, tournament or social. The Consumer Contracts Regulations include an exception for leisure services where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance, so the usual 14-day online cancellation right may not apply to these bookings.

Your cancellation rights for dated or timed bookings will therefore usually be the cancellation rights shown in Playtomic, confirmed by Padel Zest, or set out in these Terms and Conditions.

25. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to Padel Zest if you:

  • breach these Terms and Conditions;
  • behave in an unsafe, abusive or inappropriate way;
  • misuse membership benefits;
  • fail to pay sums due;
  • damage club property;
  • put staff, coaches, players or visitors at risk;
  • act in a way that may damage Padel Zest’s reputation.

Where access is suspended or terminated because of your breach or misconduct, you may not be entitled to a refund.

26. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be available on our website.

Any updates will apply to new bookings and memberships from the date they are published. Where changes materially affect existing memberships or bookings, we will act reasonably and give notice where appropriate.

27. Complaints and Contact

If you have a complaint or concern, please contact us at:

We will aim to respond within 2 working days.

For issues relating specifically to Playtomic account access, app functionality, Playtomic payments, Playtomic service fees or Playtomic technical issues, you may also need to contact Playtomic support directly.

28. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute relating to these Terms and Conditions, Padel Zest, our facilities or our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
